The McNay is an art museum nestled just outside of downtown San Antonio. This spacious and beautiful museum dedicated to mostly American and European art brings in some of the best exhibitions in the nation. Visiting the McNay is a must for art-lovers (local and tourist alike) so when you visit, this handy guide should help make your trip even easier!
The McNay is just outside of downtown; 15 minutes by car or cab and easily accessible by local public transit. Parking onsite is free, a real plus and it is handicap accessible with prior reservations made. Admission is very affordable and on some days, special events admission to the museum is free!
The McNay hosts several special events from history courses to workshops and food truck events that are held every second Thursday of the month. Brunch and art events, guided lectures and even special events for the kids keep this museum fun, interactive and informative.
