John Flournoy Jr. is a native of San Antonio, Managing Broker with the Phyllis Browning Company and a second generation Realtor®. His graduate studies at Trinity University in Real Estate not only helped create the Real Estate Department at Trinity University, but also played a role in the development of formal education for the professional Realtor® in Texas. His 1968 thesis work analyzed the qualities of successful San Antoinio Realtors® and identifies a strong correlation between career success and individual efforts to pursue ongoing education in areas directly impacting the real estate industry. As a result of the thesis findings, his work was endorsed by the San Antonio Board of Realtors® as a learning tool for new agents throughout the 1970’s and was also a catalyst for the future establishment of formal continuing education that is now mandatory for the professional Texas Realtor®.

In 1971 he was selected as one of San Antonio’s “Outstanding Young Men in America,” an award given to only three in San Antonio. In 2007, John celebrated over forty years in Residential Real Estate in San Antonio.
