Private Schools
Private schools make up a small but significant
component of San Antonio’s educational community. There is a
balanced mix of private independent and parochial schools. Catholic
schools in the Archdiocese of San Antonio are a significant force
in the city. A complete list of Catholic schools can be found
on their web site at www.sacatholicschools.org.
While most schools are supported by tuition payments or charitable
contributions, many offer various forms of financial aid or scholarship
programs. For a comprehensive list of private schools in the
San Antonio area, Google
search San Antonio Private Schools.

The Texas Education Agency does not regulate,
index, monitor, approve or register the programs available to
parents. School-age children who are pursuing curricula designed
to meet basic educational goals under direct supervision of parents
are exempt form compulsory school attendance. For more information
