John graduated from The University of Texas at Austin and St. Mary's University School of Law. He holds certificates from The University of Texas School of Law, The University of Innsbruck, Austria's Institute on World Legal Problems, and The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Kenan-Flagler Business School.
