Summertime in South Texas is in full force, bringing along with it a few of our favorite things: long days, more time with family and friends, pool parties and frozen cocktails.
And now the 4th of July is upon us! With the approach of America’s birthday, we polled the office to discover our agents’ favorite places to watch sparklers light up the summer skies. Below are some great locations throughout San Antonio to stake your claim and enjoy all of the firework festivities.
Downtown
Tower of the Americas: This is a great location to sit and enjoy a meal or cocktails while enjoying panoramas of the entire Alamo City. Tons of informal firework displays can be viewed from the rotating Observation Deck or the Chart House Restaurant.
Alamo Heights
The Broadway: Each penthouse in The Broadway offers gorgeous cityscapes, perfect for taking in tons of firework fun. Call Natalee Newell or Anne Gamboa today to schedule a tour of the available luxe penthouses and secure your view.
Northside
Six Flags Fiesta Texas July 4th Fest: Purchase tickets to enter the park and enjoy amusement-park fun followed by a lengthy firework show, or scope out one of the several areas around Six Flags which provide a great view (The Shops at La Cantera or The Rim).
Central
Leon Valley July 4th Parade and Festival: This all day celebration incorporates a parade, soapbox derby, a 5K and ends with a “Firework Spectacular”.
Boerne
Every year, the city of Boerne hosts a patriotic display in Boerne City Park. This year’s show, sponsored by the Boerne Fire Department, will start shortly after dark (approximately 8 PM). Be sure to bring some chairs, a blanket and tons of patriotism.
